Inspiring book

I'm not sure that the word "retire" is what the author meant in this book, and it's not really what I'm looking to do either. I don't want to sit on a couch playing canasta with my old friends all day. What I want is a way not to retire, to live a life free of stress about jobs and money. That's exactly what this book is talking about. In it, the author describes several ways to create an income using investments, small businesses, hobbies, and a bunch of other ideas. While many of them are work, it's work that you can do from anywhere, and can do on your own time at your own speed. This is exactly what I was looking to learn, and this book does a good job of going step by step into describing them.

Also included is stuff on saving, insurance, and other things that I knew, but didn't think of in this light. I'm not going to be able to retire before I'm 40, but I think I'm going to be able to stop working my regular job much sooner than I ever thought possible. And I'm already starting to use some of hte ideas I learned in this book. This book paid for itself with just one idea, I'm glad I read it.

This book was more than I was expecting. Other early retirement books I have read focus only on needing a million dollars and tell you how to invest for retirement.

This book actually shows you how to retire on much much less using techniques that have worked for the author and others. There are some great sections on creating passive online income, protecting your assets, the psychology of early retirement, how to maximise your spending,etc.

I can honestly say that this book has changed my life. I now believe I will take the next step and quit my job to do all the things I have wanted to in my life. Life's short, I plan on going for it.

Great Information!

I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend and I wasn't disappointed. If anything this book gave me hope that I won't need to work until I am 65.

There are several chapters that have information I have never heard of before. The chapter on protecting assets from lawsuits and investing for retirement were especially useful.

This book is a nice alternative to the traditional retirement books with the standard save several million and invest in high income stocks.

This information is more on developing small businesses, using skills, and adapting your life based on your values and lower income, great read.

great story

This was a very good story but what kept me from giving it a full five stars was that I didn't care for some of the fluffing elements. I also felt that it was a little a too sudden as far as the husband becoming a wimp, although it did it at the same time in a much better way than most stories I've read on this subject. Hopefully they'll be more like this by this author.

The title is true.

The story is very erotic and a little scary too, because the Cuckold subculture is a growing trend. It is usually instigated by the the white mans fantasy to see his wife or girlfriend having sex with a well endowed, strong, black man. Once the fantasy becomes a reality, the husband is usually satisfied with it being a one time event, but the wife and the black man want to continue, and keep it going. The wife and the black man enjoy the sex and the control they now have over the husband, who would usually like it to stop, but now has no say in the situation. When the husband is made to give oral sex to the black bull, it is not really about sex, it's about control and domination. Once you do this once, they can keep forcing you to do it, because they tell you if you don't do it, they will tell your friends, coworkers and family. So now your stuck in this trap of having your wife having wild sex with this black guy all the time, and having him use your mouth for his pleasure whenever he or your wife wants to humiliate you. So take the title seriously, you really should be careful what you wish for.

It's a story that peers at the question of our own morality, and our mortality- if you can control the animal side long enough to think about it. With just enough dark imagery to entice, and just enough wrong to be right, Heaven Can Wait will pick you up and refuse to put you down.

Come for the action, stay for the story

First and foremost, this book is superb erotica. From the opening chapter, LaPage writes a variety of sex scenes that most definitely will get you aroused. But lots of authors can give you that. What works with this book is a really inventive story with compelling characters. I found myself drawn in to the world LaPage creates, and her plot twists kept me guessing all the way to the ending. Not to give any spoilers (and yes, there are those), but if you are intrigued by the possibilities of advanced medical science mixed with unscrupulous greed and lust, you will find this story especially enticing. And did I mention the sex? Besides being super-hot, it is character-driven and integral to the plot of the story. LaPage deserves a wide readership from people who want intelligent storytelling in their erotic fiction.

Excellent plot development

This author has found her voice. I say her because the name is feminine but her development of male characters makes we wonder. Excellent plot development. The story is so good that it would have kept me reading even without the erotically detailed descriptions during the sex scenes. If you want a sexy thriller several notches above bodice rippers and 'erotic' novels, read this book.

Wonderful Study Tip

This booked helped a lot. A few of the questions actually showed up on my test. Perfect for studying for ATI test. I actually made a level 2 it could have been better but it could have been way worse. Now that I am further along in the program I would totally recommend that you do both practice test A and B as well as the test bank test all of the book questions as well as any in the program. I would highly recommend using the book vs the ebooks as well since I started buy the actual book my score has improved so much. I would say it did that because I can highlight and easily review. Another tip is to get the ATI app. I feel like the book and rational is what is making the biggest difference in my score with ATI. I believe it worth the small investment in order to pass these ATI Test Nursing students Dread.

About the Author
Katie is an instructional designer at McKinsey Academy where she designs courses that accelerate top talent at leading organizations. Prior, she was an instructional designer at Stanford Graduate School of Business where she worked closely with faculty and media experts to leverage technology in the classrooms, and developed the GSB’s first MOOC, The Finance of Retirement and Pensions in which over 44,000 students enrolled. Prior to working at the GSB, she worked at Udacity where she designed and taught the first for-credit online statistics course, which currently has over 26,000 students enrolled (as of September 30, 2013). She has consulted for a number of education non-profits, start-ups, and for-profit companies on mostly product development, curriculum development, and pedagogy. She has been an educator in a number of capacities, from tutoring (100+ students) to teaching supplemental college courses, after-school programs, and summer school programs. Katie loves yoga, snowboarding, singing, reading, and traveling, and has played chess her whole life.
